For the first time, Gents Academy Co is bringing its modern barbering education to Wellington.

Hosted at Staycuts, this event is designed for barbers who want a more structured understanding of modern haircutting, not just another step-by-step demonstration.

The day is built around the Gents Academy Blueprint: a structured approach that helps barbers assess the individual, understand the shape they want to create, select the right techniques and apply the mechanics required to execute the haircut with precision and purpose.

Attendees can choose between two ticket options:

• Full Look & Learn plus Hands-On Workshop

Both options give you access to the same core modern barbering concepts, with the full-day ticket adding guided practical work and direct technical support.

Ticket Option 1: Look & Learn

Price: $75

The Look & Learn session is designed for barbers who want to observe, understand and question the technical process behind a modern haircut.

You will see a live demonstration built around the Gents Academy Blueprint, with a clear breakdown of the decisions behind the haircut rather than simply watching the finished result come together.

The session will explore:

This ticket is suited to barbers who want fresh technical insight without completing the practical section of the day.

Ticket Option 2: Look & Learn + Hands-On Workshop

Price: $500

This full-day intensive option includes the Look & Learn demonstration followed by guided hands-on practical education.

After observing the technical demonstration, attendees will apply the same structured principles through practical work with direct support from the Gents Academy team.

The hands-on workshop is designed to help you:

• Build a more structured cutting process

The Gents Academy Blueprint is the structured thinking process behind the haircut.

It begins with the fundamentals: assessing the individual, their natural features, head shape, hair density, growth patterns and existing shape.

From there, the barber identifies the shape required, selects the techniques needed to create it and applies the correct mechanics to execute the result with purpose.

This approach helps barbers move away from guesswork and towards a more consistent, adaptable method of cutting.

This is the first Gents Academy event in Wellington, and interest in the region has already been strong.

Spaces for the hands-on workshop will be limited to ensure attendees receive proper practical guidance and direct technical support.
